Apps by Me

I love to code. Coding is like composing music - just with a smaller keyboard. What makes code different from music is that it needs to grow and improve over time (otherwise users get angry). You never really feel like you are "finished" an app. But a piece of music does reach a "completed" stage, and then you can breathe a sigh of relief and satisfaction - it's done. No more work required. How nice. These are my digital offspring below. Hopefully I will find time to continue developing them so their growth does not become stunted (and I become hunted by demanding users)!
Help Desk PowerPack (Spiceworks)
v3.5 (Jan 14, 2018)

A plugin for the Spiceworks Help Desk. I started using Spiceworks a long time ago but felt that its Help Desk needed some extra functionality. This does the job nicely, and I guess other users thought so too as it has risen to become the 4th most-downloaded Spiceworks plugin of all time at over 32,000 downloads.

Pepper Roles (Spiceworks)
v1.8 (May 19, 2016)

By default, Spiceworks only has 4 user roles available: Admin, Help Desk Admin, Helpdesk Tech, and Reporting. That was a bit limiting in my opinion. Time to change that...

Apps by Others

Any time I come across an app that is beautifully-designed, intuitive, and down-right useful I add it to this list. I despise ugly, unintuitive, and sloppy software. If you're going to do something, do it well. The little things matter.
